Salt Cod Pie


•  Put a little olive oil in a saucepan, add the onions, cut finely in fine half moons, and the garlic cloves chopped.
•  Add the potatoes also sliced very finely.
•  Heat for a little then add the peeled tomatoes and a little stock.
•  Then add the salt cod, already cooked and shredded.
•  Season with salt, pepper, a little white wine (very little) and chopped coriander.
•  Leave to stew.
•  Then roll out the slabs of puff pastry, place the filling in the centre of one of the rolled out slabs and cover with the other slab of puff pastry, pressing down the edges all round.
•  Brush top with egg yolk and place in oven.

Serve with a green salad.


  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 potatoes
  • 400 g of salt cod
  • 4 Tomates pelados
  • 1 pack of Cozinha Pronta puff pastry
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Olive oil, salt and pepper, coriander, white wine, as required
